Community Support
Berkeley businesses are an important part of the BHS community for both staff and students. Since 2010 the Business Partners Luncheon has been an opportunity for local business people and friends of BHSDG to come together over lunch and raise funds for the Development Group. Each year features a guest speaker and superb food. Past speakers included Daveed Diggs, Michael Lewis, and Jennifer Doudna. In March 2022, the luncheon was re-imagined as an evening event to bring the community together after two-years on zoom. Best-selling author Peggy Orenstein and Health Educator Shafia Zaloom provided a thought-provoking conversation, Gather served delicious food, and members of the Berkeley High Jazz Band entertained the crowd.
